Mount Pundaquit Climb with Anawangin Overnight Camping & Capones Island Visit

Pinaykeypoint is offering this destination as an alternative to those groups who want to experience Mountain  Climbing, Overnight Camping, Beach and island hopping rolled in one. Package rate differs according to your preferred Meet up point, Transport, Food, Camping Gadget & accommodations. Email us for these options.

Meanwhile, I'll give you a Glimpse of what is waiting for you there :)

Basically, we are heading to Pundaquit, a small village located at San Antonio Zambales. This is roughly less than 3 hours drive from Manila via private car and more or  less  4  hours  via  public bus but these estimates still depends upon the traffic and driving speed. Meet up time depends upon the tourist so you  can  opt  for  an  early  bird tour  or  come  at a later time. This is your tour, so you're the Boss! :)

Coastal view of Baranggay Pundaquit
The main livelihood in this village are Fishing & Tourism. Locals who use Ilokano, Zambal & Tagalog are very hospitable to strangers. We proved it when Pinaykeypoint Team set foot on this destination and arrived in the area at almost 10pm. According to Miss Juliet, Pinaykeypoint's Team Head, the first person that would ask them to enter the house will be their official contact.
Miss Jessica Corpuz, Pinaykeypont's Junior Administrative Staff
Behind her is Mount Pundaquit. You have to traverse this mountain for 4 to 5 hours for average speed trekkers, this is according to  Pundaquit guides but Pinaykeypoint Team traversed  Mount  Pundaquit  at 2 hours & 45 minutes. This is without carrying the heavy baggages of course ;). Their local guide Roldan and Louie realized that Mount Pinatubo guides are indeed fast trekkers and they corrected me for that, "actually they were not trekking, they are running!"

This town's pride are pristine & calm beaches. Although, Pundaquit is facing the China Sea, it is    sheltered by Capones and Camara Island. This is also the usual jump off point of Tourists heading to Anawangin Cove, Nagsasa Cove, Talisayin Cove and Silangin, Capones & Camara islands. Pinaykeypoint Team is simply amazed to discover the beauty of these destinations and took their vows to help the locals in promoting their place. Thank you to Mang Ewok, Kulot & Manong Totoy and the rest of the town folks who were kind enough to share information and who also let us use their place for free during our ocular visit and for showing us the magnificent beauty of their place. We will surely publicize it to our clients

Breakfast prior to climbing
For  a  cheaper  package,  you  can bring your own food. No worry, heavy  baggage is fine, we will take care of that. Just bring what you need during the climb, we have a boat that will transport  your baggages. If you can't do  the  trekking, then it's okay, you can  opt for the motorboat ride to Anawangin Cove or Nagsasa Cove. If you're the type that is looking for a worry free activity, then it's fine too :) We  can  do  the  cooking for your group. We have different food options to choose from, Cheaper Meals such as famous Pinakbet, talong (eggplant), itlog na  pula (salted egg ), Fried or grilled Fish to a more luxurious meals such as Halabos na Hipon, Sinigang or Nilagang baboy, Fried  or  Grilled Chicken or Meat,  Pork Sisig, Caldereta atbp. All these comes at extra cost of course.
BRIEFING
Our camping director, Robin Corpuz is conducting a briefing prior to climbing. This is to prepare your team for the terrain, for the dangers at the trail and what to do in case of emergency. We have first Aid kit for minor incidents such as sprains & bruises, headache & stomach ache. Just ask your guide if you need one. Since you will be walking in a sandy & rocky terrain, rubber shoes and trekking sandals are highly recommended. It's also best if you will bring your big hat, sarong, shawl or anything that would protect you from the extreme heat of the sun. Please note that you will be trekking in an open field with only few shady areas so love your skin and don't forget your sunblock :)
Pinaykeypoint's Team Head, Juliet Corpuz climbed Mount Pundaquit with heavy back pack. According to her, she can  ask  the  guide  to  carry  it but she preferred to carry it on her way up to feel the Proud Spirit of Conquest :) But you don't really have to carry your heavy bags. We will take care of that :)
